Swedish Deputy Prime Minister keynote speaker at the Solution Initiative Forum Ocean the 16 of May

The Sustainable Development Solution Network (SDSN) Northern Europe holds its 1st Solution Initiative Forums (SIF) the 16th of May in Gothenburg. The Swedish Deputy Prime Minister Isabella Lövin is the keynote speaker. Solution Initiative Forums (SIF) is an opportunity for academic experts, businesses, policy makers and civil society to meet and promote utilization and scaling up of sustainable solutions addressing challenges connected to the SDGs.
The first edition of SIF, SIF Oceans aims to identify and promote solutions addressing five challenges of our oceans: marine litter, pollutions from shipping, pollutions from land based sources, energy and food. The aim is to facilitate interaction between entrepreneurs, investors, businesses, academic experts and decision makers to promote utilization and scaling up of sustainable solutions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 14: Life below water. SIF Oceans is organized in cooperation with the Maritime Cluster of West Sweden.
Connected to SIF Oceans SDSN Northern Europe writes a report to the Swedish government, presenting good examples of solutions to meet the challenges for our oceans. The report is part of the preparatory work for the UN Ocean Conference in New York 5-9 June.
