New Solution Initiative: Climate Framework for Higher Education Institutions

SDSN Northern Europe has chosen to highlight the Climate Framework as a “Solution Initiative” to inspire more universities and colleges around the world to work strategically on the climate issue.

The Climate Framework for Higher Education Institutions acts as the starting off point for developing specific climate strategies at those universities who have signed up. The goal is to contribute to national and international measures to keep to the 1.5 C warming limit.

The initiative to create a common climate framework was taken by Chalmers University of Technology and KTH Royal Institute of Technology. As of today, 37 Swedish universities and colleges have signed the framework.
