A Solutions Initiative promotes new technologies, methods, business models, institutional mechanisms, educational models, policies and combinations thereof that accelerate the progress towards sustainable development.
Solutions Initiatives address challenges connected to Agenda 2030. They are (i) transformative – taking big steps to implement the SDGs – changing the destructive to the constructive (ii) holistic – taking all the SDGs and their interactions into account – seeing the big picture and leave no one behind (iii) scalable – having the potential to expand in scope, size, or geographically – implementing good solutions around the world.
