The SDSN Northern Europe region connects about 70 members from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden and consists of universities, research institutions, foundations, and other non-profit organisations with deep knowledge of sustainable development.

Meet our member institutions

SDSN Northern Europe’s members consist of Nordic knowledge institutions, including universities, research institutions, foundations, non-profits and other organisations. They all have deep expertise in one or more areas related to sustainable development and carry out a substantial amount of work to find and/or implement solutions for sustainable development.

Sharing visions and values

Knowledge institutions in the Nordic countries typically share visions and values emphasising environmental responsibility, social justice, innovation and research, global collaboration, and a long-term perspective regarding sustainable development. This involves striving to reduce their environmental impact, promoting equal access to education and inclusion, driving innovation to address challenges, and collaborating internationally to tackle global issues, all with a long-term sustainability in mind for future generations.
